Teaching

I have over a decade of teaching experience and in that time I have worked with people of all ages and abilities to help them find a joy for singing and a freerer, more communicative sound.

Choral direction

I currently direct the wonderful Fleet Singers, a community choir based in Gospel Oak, and several choirs for Music in Offices.

I have previously founded and directed choirs for Leeds Beckett University and Ravensbourne College, Greenwich.

Workshop leading

I hugely enjoy working with singing groups of all ages and sizes!

Whether I'm working with an adult choir, a school group, a team building cohort or a bunch of people who had no idea they'd be singing; the name of the game is enjoyment and singing your heart out!

Leeds Lieder

I am very proud to be the Learning and Participation Manager for Leeds Lieder.

Our work in schools and the wider community encourages people to engage with Art Song as a relevant and exciting genre, full of characters and stories!

Phil is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.
